West Coast Cartage has proudly served the Lower Mainland of British Columbia since 1947. Across 80 years the company has built a reputation for reliability, safety and customer service — the kind that gets built one load at a time and cannot be bought.

The fleet in the photograph is long gone. So is the yard, the dispatch shack and the phone exchange painted on the doors. What survived is duller and more valuable: the customers who kept calling, and the habit of showing up when we said we would.

Today, as a Teamsters union carrier, we run flat decks, dry vans, Super B’s and B-trains, drop axle trucks and crane trucks out of Surrey — hauling structural steel, machinery, lumber and construction materials for the trades that build this province.

Every truck in that photo has been scrapped. The company is still here.

Our primary service area is the Lower Mainland, with regular service throughout the B.C. Interior. Small enough that you talk to a person. Old enough to have seen it before.
